FISH is a not-for-profit 501c3 corporation that operates entirely through fundraising events, donations, and volunteer efforts. Volunteers are essential to our success. Whether you can give a few hours of your time during our annual commercial fishing festival, or you want to dedicate your time towards a long-term project, you will truly make a difference in our organization and the Village of Cortez.

FISH Preserve Upkeep
Do you like gardening? Help us remove exotic and invasive plants and replace them with native flora throughout the FISH Preserve.
Assisting at The Festival
The Festival would not be possible without our 200+ volunteers! Volunteers are needed to help greet people at entry gates, assist with selling tickets, beverages, festival t-shirts, and more!
Join Boatworks
If you have skills or want to learn skills in boat building, restoring, or repairing wooden or fiberglass boats, join our Boatworks crew!
